Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions that might be on your mind. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to send us a message!

Yes! The best way to experience The Dance Den way is by joining in the class!

Yes, we do charge a fee, at a discounted rate, for a trial class. This is because there are limited spaces in our classes and free trial class bookings regularly result in ‘no-shows’. This can mean other students may miss out.

To be honest, a small fee also lets us know you’re fair dinkum about wanting to explore this amazing program for your little one/s.

We structure the class content to ensure the activities are appropriate for the age and learning needs of our little Cubz. If your child’s age is between two class types, for example: 2-4yrs & 4-6yrs, you are best positioned to know how ‘ready’ your little one might be to make a start.

Your teacher will provide feedback and guidance about the best option after your initial trial class. Either way, don’t stress, we’re flexible, we’ll work it out together!

Please note: The minimum age for class participation is 2

Sure! We understand that new environments, new faces and new activities can be a little daunting for little ones, so please feel free to join in the activities where necessary. However, we would ask you be respectful of the teacher running the class and be guided by her as to the best way to assist.

It’s important to be mindful of the challenging balance between supporting your little one/s and letting them explore, be appropriately challenged, and have some “I can do it” time in order to gain the most benefit from the program.

* Please Respect: The activities are for children who are booked in for the class. We understand that siblings may get excited and want to ‘crash the party’. We ask that you please manage siblings appropriately as not to disturb the lesson.

No. The little ones might need your support and the teacher may need to call on you for your assistance if really necessary. A parent or guardian must be present at all time (excluding a quick toilet break of course!)

Say hi, and introduce yourself and your child to the teacher and let her know you’re there for a trial class (we’ll be expecting you).
You will be able to sit in the class and watch, get to know other parents, and support your child when necessary.

Please note: When you arrive, please wait in foyer, the teacher will invite your inside for your class at the appropriate time.

No. We do things a little different at The Dance Den. We know that things don’t always go according to plan when wrangling little ones! That’s why we offer casual classes as well as class credits packages. This means you have the flexibility to attend the classes that suit you, and you only pay for the classes you actually attend.

There is a bathroom and baby changing space at our venue. We ask that you please take any dirty nappies or other rubbish away with you. There is also a separate area should you need to feed little ones or remove a sibblingthat might be creating an undue distraction for the class.

Unless there is a little one asleep in the pram or stroller, we ask that you please leave them outside under the sheltered area (the prams not the little ones!) to save space in the classroom. Keep in mind there we do have a quiet room if needed.

We totally understand that you may like to to photos of your child enjoying their class. It’s inevitable that other children may be captured in the photo, we just ask that you check with other parents before posting the images on any public forum. If in doubt, just ask.

We do take a break from our regular classes over the school holidays, however, we often schedule workshops or other one-off special classes during the break. We’ll communicate the details prior to the holidays commencing.
